Welcome to Zigway. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we look after your personal data when you use our mobile application and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
We collect information that you provide to us, information collected automatically when you use the app, and information from third-party services we use to operate Zigway.
Zigway is a location-based experience. We request access to your device's location services via the standard iOS permission prompt. If you grant permission, we collect:
You can control location access at any time in iOS Settings. If you do not grant location permission (or later revoke it), Zigway will not be able to provide real-time narration.
We may collect:
Support Chat Notice: In-app support chat messages are not end-to-end encrypted. Authorized Zigway team members may read these messages to respond to you and improve the product. Please do not share sensitive personal information (for example, passwords, payment card details, government IDs, health information, or exact home addresses) in support chat.
We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you use Zigway:
To personalize your experience, we collect preferences in two ways:
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We may receive confirmation of successful payments and subscription status.
Zigway may show ads. Advertising partners may collect or receive certain device identifiers and usage signals to measure ad performance and deliver relevant ads.
We use your data to:
Zigway uses various internal and third party services including artificial intelligence services to generate tour narration. Your location data and preferences are processed by our AI systems to create personalized content. The AI processing includes:
All AI processing is done in accordance with this privacy policy and your data rights.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data as described below to operate Zigway, provide features, and support analytics and advertising.
We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our application:
These third parties are required to protect your data and use it only for the purposes we specify, consistent with this policy.
We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid legal requests from public authorities.
If Zigway is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a portion of its business or assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
If you choose Share by Link for a completed walk, Zigway creates a web link that can be opened by anyone who has the URL. This feature is designed for convenience, not as a secure access-control system.
Shared links are intended to be non-indexed by search engines, but this is not a guarantee of privacy. Links may be forwarded by recipients, exposed through browser or messaging history, and in rare cases discovered or guessed despite safeguards (such as random link tokens and abuse protections).
If you do not want a walk to remain web-accessible, turn off sharing in the app. When sharing is turned off, the link will no longer open your walk.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide Zigway and for legitimate business or legal purposes.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, and may have the following rights:
To exercise these rights, please contact us at support@zigway.app. We may request information to verify your identity. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Location access is controlled by iOS. You can manage permissions in your device settings, including whether Zigway can access your location while using the app or in the background (if enabled).
Note: Disabling location services will significantly limit Zigway functionality.
Zigway uses analytics SDKs and may use advertising SDKs. Zigway uses these services to help us understand usage patterns and improve the service

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from your country. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this privacy policy.
